Student University Bursaries, Grants and Awards for Young Professionals
One of the key aims of the London Petrophysical Society is to promote for the public benefit, education and knowledge in the scientific and technical aspects of formation evaluation. In order to achieve these aims, the LPS provides financial support to students, Universities and Young Professionals through two schemes.
Financial support in the form of Bursaries for students, and Grants for students and university departments is provided through the Iain Hillier Academic Award Scheme. The scheme is named after Iain Hillier, who served on the LPS committee for many years and made an outstanding contribution to its work.
Young Professionals entering or early in their careers in the industry are recognised under the Dick Woodhouse to Young Professionals. The award encourages the pursuit of excellence in young professional petrophysicists to celebrate the outstanding contribution that Dick made to our industry during his 45 year career.
